An invitation to lunch in Christchurch

August 11, 2014

At the end of this month I’m taking a short vacation in Christchurch. I’ve planned it around the Readers & Writers Festival and Mum is coming up too so it’ll be a good chance for family time mixed with inspiring ideas and outings.

The first day I arrive I thought it might be nice to invite you to lunch. I know I have lots of blog readers and Emma Makes fans in Christchurch and thought that meeting you was a good idea. You’re paying for your own lunch I’m afraid but if you RSVP I’ll bring you a goody bag.

If nobody turns up (I know my invite is on a week day) then I’m happy to eat alone. If not, see you there.

Lunch on Wednesday 27 August
12.30pm
Addington Coffee Co-op, 297 Lincoln Road, Christchurch

RSVP here.

Made.it – a must-stop shop in Wellington

July 30, 2014

Made.it in Wellington is a great shop stocking New Zealand handmade products – and on Friday they’re getting bigger. They’re building out into the shop next door and are having a grand opening party this Friday.

You’ve probably seen them on Victoria Street looking something like this:

They’ve stocked Emma Makes for about the last 2.5 years and are super popular. Seeing them grow is really exciting.

This Friday will be regular trading hours with a twist – if you take in the voucher below they’ll give $10 off when you spend $50. A good time for a winter treat or a chance to fill your present drawer.

Event: Christmas Garden Party in Greytown

November 30, 2013

makers-cover

This year I’m going to all my events in almost one week – next off the blocks is the Makers at Home Christmas Garden Party in Greytown. Make a date and come and enjoy a leisurely shop around some of Wairarapa’s best craft stalls.

The event is held in a local garden on Saturday, 7 December from 2-6pm and will be on rain or shine. I plan to set up camp with a deckchair and sun umbrella and look very much forward to seeing you there. Here’s a map to the location:

Come and see me tonight in Palmerston North

November 29, 2013

Tonight I’m in Palmerston North Library selling at the Alt. Shift. Craft organised fair in the Library.

The Fair is in the bottom floor of the library and is one of my favourites – a great place to spend Friday night – or to get a jump on the Christmas shopping.

I’ll have lots of bags, pencils, purses and some notebooks and stuffed kittens too. I’ll have market prices on some things and have one-off items that aren’t in my online store.

I’d love to see you so come and say hello.

An early start to Christmas shopping at The Dowse

November 25, 2013

mine-shopping-nightThis Thursday night I’ll be at The Dowse Art Museum as one of their makers for their MINE shop. It’s a shop of very good taste and the night will be fun with lots of Christmas treats, mince pies and bubbles (not to mention the shopping). They’ve got a gift wrapping station too and lots of great advent calendars if you don’t yet have yours.

See you there?

Eagle vs Craft – a date for your calendar

November 15, 2013

In a couple of Friday night’s time I’ll be at Eagle vs Craft – an alternative Christmas craft market in Palmerston North. eagle-vs-craft

The event is in the library from 5pm and is always super popular so come early, get organised and buy your Christmas presents in style.

I’ll bring a range of things but if there’s something you really want to see let me know my emailing emma.mccleary@gmail.com
