The great Greytown lolly bonanza

Look away now if you’re the type of person that rails against colouring and thinks sugar is the devil’s doing.

On the weekend Mum and I went to The Lolly Jar in Greytown and had a great time picking out all sorts of old fashioned lollies that we each remembered from childhood. There’s over 120 varieties in store and it’s heaps of fun roaming around and making your choices for scoffing later.

Everyone gets a disposable glove and a little bowl so you can easily pick your own lollies without fear of getting other people’s grubby germs.

This truly is a shop of wonderment as everyone – young and old – had grins on their faces as they picked their own sugar rush.

I wish we had found time to walk around Greytown, while we were down for the fair! I’m sure Abraham would have loved to visit this shop – he’s a fiend for sour lollies, especially.

Don’t feel too bad because I’m not sure it was open when you were down. There are some great lollies in there called crybabies that are so sour they make your eyes water.
