Planning and scheming and buttercreaming

In the spirit of my recent ode to birthday cake I made my friend Courtney a cake to celebrate one more trip around the sun. In shape and design it’s modelled on the famous 1980s swimming pool cake but on top in lieu of jelly and swimmers I’ve added two bags of pebbles and cardboard cut-outs of some of her favourite people and images.

I may just have to steal this idea for a certain husband who has a birthday coming up shortly. I do hope that will be okay with you? (I’ll give you credit, of course..) : )
