Tom and I went to Christchurch in the weekend – the first time we’ve been since the big earthquake last year.
Although it was shocking to see so many empty sections, what stood out far and above the destruction was the spirit of the people living there. We saw an empty section filled with wildflowers, had lunch in the super-cool Cashel Street container mall (Tom thinks Featherston needs one too), went to a great Belgium Beer Festival and found old favourite cafes in new locations.
Tomorrow Wednesday is the one-year anniversary of the big quake. I’ve made an Emma Makes special so if you’ve got some coin you can show some love to friends and family by sending them a little gift.
Pick three Emma Makes pencils for just $3: a heavily reduced price because this deal is about you showing love, not me making money. Postage is included. The promotion will end at midnight
Tuesday Wednesday and is only available if you’re sending to Christchurch.
