If you only do one thing on 26 November then let it be voting. There’s a general Election in New Zealand and I truly believe that everyone needs to get out and vote.
New Zealand has the honour of being the first country in the world to give women the vote – in 1893 – while today, some 118 years later, there’s still women in the world who aren’t allowed to have their say.
So stop reading this, find a party who represents you (it won’t be a 100% match but if they’re pretty close, pick them) then vote for them!
Meanwhile, tonight Tom, Julie (Tom’s Mum) and Matthew (Tom’s brother) are having our traditional four-year Election party. This year it’s at our house and I’m sure in between the ooo-ing and aaaah-ing and cheering/booing we’ll miss Tom’s Dad Ross heaps.
