I’m not fan of rugby but I am a fan of bunting. For the Rugby World Cup, Wairarapa has adopted Georgia as it’s team and one of my friends decided that to support them we should make bunting in the colours of the team (red and white).
These are Emily's pinking shears - $4 from the Sallies
Yesterday afternoon, armed with pinking shears, sewing machines and piles of red and white we set to the challenge.
The bunting starts to pile up. The fabric is all op-shopped and from community donations. The tapes at the top are just fabric strips.
The patterned fabric came from Sylvia at the library - I turned up one day to get some books out and she had a bag full of great red and white fabric.
If you're in the Wairarapa area, we'll be doing bunting again this coming Sunday at the community centre from around 3pm. Come along and help!
