Today is the last day of my month-long holiday; it’s Wellington Anniversary Day – kind of like a bonus day for taking so many other days off.
This has been a great holiday where I’ve rested and achieved jobs – both at a snail’s pace and with little brain power involved most of the time. Here’s the highlights reel…
Adventuring and swimming at the river
A trip to Winton for family Christmas
Sewing new clothes
Baking for friends
Eating under the walnut tree
A trip to the country
Going to new cafes
Biking around the countryside
Getting the house washed and paths and deck cleaned (click this photo to see the ‘before’ of the deck)
Growing lots of veges in our garden – these are beans but we’ve eaten spring onions, radishes, lettuces and radishes too.
Visiting Helen in Palmerston North
Read books and magazines in bed/on the back lawn/in the sunny spot on the lounge floor
Visiting Lynn from Dunedin when she was teaching at the Hutt Valley summer school
Baking vegan slice – click the photo for the recipe
Getting chairs for under the walnut tree
Walking along the beach
Updating and fixing things that had got a bit manky
