This week, in the course of an email conversation, a friend wrote to me, “Also, every week, I look forward to your Friday notes. No pressure or anything. But I do.”
Well sucks to be you friend because this week’s list is SUPER boring. Here ’tis:
- Shop duty at Craft Country from 10am-3pm – I’m really enjoying working there and Friday is our busiest day
- Sewing some of my new spring bags – the theme is floral and stripes
- Buy $25 worth of flowers (I will explain why later)
- Fold washing mountain – we’ve been doing a great job of drying washing near the fire but there’s now a mountain to fold
- Make dinner – tomato soup and feta toasties tonight folks.

Actually, not disappointed at all. Perhaps because laundry is the only household task I enjoy.
It’s pretty good with a great podcast on, solitary folding, thinking up ideas in the folding haze that are forgotten the second everything is put away.
Ahhh – the mountain of laundry – we have a wall of laundry! We have devoted an entire 2 seater couch and the wall stretching on to infinity above as the wall of washing – have 3 kids and the pile never gets any smaller.
But remember the heater-metre rule with drying clothes. The fire at the Backbencher was caused by drying teatowels…
I like how your comments and combined with fire safety messages. No need to worry – our clothes racks are way over the other side of the lounge from the woodburner – it just belts out the heat.
I love reading your Friday posts to Em and what I LOVE about this one is the picture – beautiful!
