I got tagged for a meme by Megan at Frou Frou Frippery. here are my answers… yawn.
What is your current obsession? Blousy flowers, making A-line skirts and op-shopping – pretty much my obsessions from age 23 on.
What is your weirdest obsession? Death. Not in a morbid way – I’m just fascinated by what happens after life, the ceremony of funerals and loss.
What are you wearing today? Grey cardigan, a pink t-shirt with gay lions on it, a chalky digits fundraiser brooch to raise money for the South Island robin, knee-length denim skirt, black trousers and knee-high stockings. Shoes are kicked off.
What’s for dinner? No idea – we’ve only just made it to lunch.
What would you eat for your last meal? Fruit crumble – maybe feijoa, pear and rhubarb finished off with a glass of Chateaux nurf de pas.
What’s the last thing you bought? The weeks vegetables at the fruit and vege stall outside Greytown.
What are you listening to right now? The sound of silence. Not the Simon and Garfunkel song; actual silence.
What do you think of the person who tagged you? I hardly know Megan and have never met her but she writes a great blog and lives in Oamaru – both good things.
If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be? Featherston – I’d just like our house to be paid off.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? No contest – New York
Which language do you want to learn? I’m a terrible language learner. All I remember from third form French is two lines of a song (Ah les crocodile) about a crocodile. Chinese might be useful though…
What is your favourite colour? Green – every colour of green from the darkest dampest forest to 1950s blue-lime green.
What is your favourite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe? Right now my floral needle-cord skirt. Over time, any number of cardigans and doily t-shirts.
What is your dream job? Making stuff. I’d just be an amazing creative person who spent their day making prints and other bits and pieces that people would crawl over their mothers to buy.
What’s your favourite magazine? Frankie, Inside Out, World Sweet World and BUST
If you had $100 now, what would you spend it on? A bottle of châteaux nurf de pas, a stash of magazines and flowers; lots and lots of flowers.
Describe your personal style? Knee-length or slightly longer A-line skirts, fitted tops, cardigans, stockings and flat but cute shoes.
What are you going to do after this? Update our blog, read some other people’s blogs and get back to writing an article for a client.
What are your favourite films? Frida, The Usual Suspects, the recent Nick Cave film and I really enjoyed the recent contemporary version of 3.10 to Yuma.
What’s your favourite fruit? Cherries. What inspires you? Op-shops, interesting people with fantastic ideas, wallpaper, design, the 1930s-50s, design blogs, flowers, the sea
Your favourite books? Anything by Janet Frame or Donna Tartt and Written on the Body by Jeanette Winterson.
Do you collect anything? Queen Elizabeth Coronation 1953 ware, art, plates, old glass, buttons
What are you currently reading? Towards Another Summer by Janet Frame.
What makes you follow a blog? Great images, good, short writing and interesting content that is either about design, art and living or everyday life.

Pleasant reading =) I’m right there with you on many of those things. I’m not sure how many Andreas you have reading your blog… do you mean me? It’s fine if you don’t though!

oh nuts. i love that you think of me. i hate that you tagged me. you know i have trouble getting round to writing one sentence let alone a whole page of answers to ridiculous but somewhat interestingly revealing questions? I hold a wriggly baby in one hand while i type with my other slow (not to mention, mistake-ridden) three fingered typing as i speak. aaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh. MAYBE I’ll try later on.
